5 tube. TRF circuit. Atwater Kent was known for the breadboard radio with beautiful components mounted on a finished board. But some housewives did not like it in the living room. So starting with the model 20 the radios came in a box. The model 21 was less reliable than the model 20 so this is a rare set.
