Label Write-up:
A significant change from previous models is the use of a solid state (selenium) rectifier to replace the 6X5 tube. The V-4 also uses a new balance control for AC measurements designed to eliminate meter shift from range to range. Note that Heath used "M" to denote "thousand" on the front panel. This peculiar nomenclature was used up to and including the early series of the V-4A.
