The Trans-Oceanic portable radio was started in the 1940s as a portable radio with short wave and AM bands for news of the war. It was very popular. This model was the last version to use tubes. Tubes drained batteries faster than transistors.
This B600 model was the last tube model portable radio made in the USA. 6 tubes, AC/DC/ battery power.
