5 tubes. TRF circuit. Battery powered. The Trav-Ler company was from Chicago. This radio was donated by Grote Reber. He was the first radio astronomer for over a decade in the 1930's. He mapped radio signals from the stars. Some of his early radio telescopes were donated to Greenbank, West Virginia.
