This tube checker has sockets for 7 and 9 pin miniature, octal, and loctal based tubes. Checks over 1300 most common tubes for radio, TV, and Hi-Fi. Before solid state, tubes converted and amplified the signal in radios and other electronics. They were the most likely component to wear out. So when electronic equipment stopped working the first thing to check is the tubes.
