In circuit / out of circuit portable unit will test transistor DC beta and diodes in or out of system and leakage out of circuit. Out of circuit accuracy is +/- 5%. In circuit accuracy indicates good or bad. Powered by one "D" battery. This is the same model as the tester next to it but has a different case. Beta: In a Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT), when operated with DC inputs, the levels of its collector current Ic and base current Ib are related by the term beta.
