Equipment Description: Recording Storage Tube
Label Write-up:
Dual-gun cathode-ray storage tube capable of simultaneous writing and reading. It is used to connect two screened images that scan at different rates. One example is a radar screen transmitted to a TV screen.
The signal to the radar screen is projected onto this tube's internal screen. Then the reading part sees the picture and sends it to the TV screen. Each goes at their own speed with the tube overwriting the old data as the screen updates.
