A Kenotron tube from the General Electric X-ray Corporation. Invented in 1914. Introduced in the late 1920s. This tube is 22 inches long. AC (alternating current) voltage can be increased through a transformer. Then this tube converts the high voltage AC to high voltage DC (direct current). Which is required for X-ray formation.
