Scott radios were the top of the line. This has 24 tubes, AM and FM and two shortwave bands, and a phonograph. Motorized push button tuning. The speakers are of the highest quality. When restored a Scott radio has excellent tone today.
The model 800B was also known as the Chippendale post war model. Special-order 800Bs equipped with a remote control allowed the listener turn the radio on and off, adjust the volume, and tune in preset stations with the remote.
