This condenser (capacitor) is made of semicircular aluminum plates, one-half being insulated from the other and arranged to rotate on a vertical axis. Capacity is 0.005 M.F. Care has been taken to have low resistance connections from both the moving and stationary plates to the binding posts, as well as to keep the dielectric losses as low as possible.
